"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ" (Col. 2:8).
Most of the religious world is made up of the traditions of men. They value the traditions of men above the word of God. Jesus told the religious leaders of His day, "And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition" (Mk. 7:9). Sounds like a lot of people today. They reject God's word for their traditions.
