"For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off" (Rom. 11:21-22). Here is a warning. If a person does not continue in the goodness of God then they will feel the severity of God. Here is also a promise. If a person does continue in the goodness of God then God's goodness will be toward them. Dear reader, which do you want: God's goodness or God's severity?
